Falcon Hall

Introduction

Falcon Hall, the manor home of Sir Skovin Ardenite, is a stately two-story stone manor house situated on the eastern edge of the North Road. The manor sits near the north bank of Winter Creek in the northern shire of the Barony of Winterholm.

Skovin is the second son of Sir Skervold Ardenite, the Baron of Arden, an important region in South County. His father was one of three barons in the South, High and Sea Counties that refused to uphold Edrin's claim to the throne when Halfred was assassinated. Skervold was declared an outlaw by Edrin, and died defending Castle Arden from Edrin's forces. When Edrin was defeated at the battle of Southkeep, Skovin's family lands were restored and his elder brother, Aaron, reclaimed his father's title.

Before the rebellion, Skervold had sent Skovin to the Northwest, to Winterholm in North County, to be raised as a fosterling. He was placed in the service of Baron Wilfric Freisman, the Baron of Winterholm. Skovin has served the baron well, in the service of his house guards and as an adventuring noble warrior. He was knighted for his heroics in battle against renegades loyal to Regis, the traitor (the former Grand Duke of Muldive).

His most famous exploit was as a member of the adventuring group known as the "Daemon Slayers." After aiding in the liberation of Southkeep this group journeyed into Mirvia to the Forbidden City, and faced the Daemon Sakathka. After a year or so of adventuring, the group defeated the daemon, removing any further threat from the Mirvians. Since their exploits, and the subsequent recognition, Skovin has remained at his manor, or the court of the baron, making preparations to defend the region if the Armies of the Dragon Lords advance further into the region.
